MultiTimer Pro gives you the option of opening one or more documents or applications whenever a module’s timer is started. You can have a different set of these “Auto-Open” files for each module. To choose the Auto-Open files for a module, select “Auto-Open Files...” under the File menu, or click in the Auto-Open button/indicator in MultiTimer Pro’s main window, as shown below.
 
A new window will appear:
 
Click the “Add File...” button and a standard file-selection dialog will allow you to select any document or application. When you do this, the file’s name and small icon will appear in the Auto-Open Files window:
 
You can also add files by dragging their Finder icons to the Auto-Open Files window.
Up to five files can be added to the Auto-Open list. To remove a file from the list, click on it once to select it, then click the “Remove File” button.
Click “Done” and the files you selected will be opened whenever that module’s timer is started. If you selected a document, then the application that created that document will be launched, just as if you had double-clicked the document’s icon in the Finder.
 
At the bottom of the Auto-Open Files window is a check box labeled “Notify when Auto-Opened applications quit”. If you check this, then MultiTimer Pro will notify you when any application that is an Auto-Open file, or whose document is an Auto-Open file, quits. You might want to do this to remind yourself to turn off a timer when you quit from the application you were working in. (This notification will only be given if the module’s timer is running.) Note that if you select -- for example -- a Photoshop document as an Auto-Open file, and you have this checkbox checked, then MultiTimer Pro will notify you when you quit from Photoshop. You don’t have to add Photoshop itself to the list of Auto-Open files. MultiTimer Pro cannot notify you when the document itself is closed, only when the host application quits.
